Sponsored Marathon Walk
Due to bad weather conditions the Sponsored Marathon Walk has been postponed till Saturday 24 July, Drums are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
We are currently organising a 23 Mile Sponsored Marathon Walk to help with the finances of running the Club for the 2010/2011 season.
We will be taking in all 5 of Dublin's Airtricity League of Ireland Premier Division Grounds starting at the home of Drums old rivals from the 60's Shamrock Rovers F.C., Tallaght Stadium, then walking the 7.5 miles to the UCD Bowl, the home of 'The Students', UCD A.F.C.
It's another 5.1 miles from there to the ground of St Patrick's Athletic F.C., Richmond Park in Inchicore and back Northside 3.2 miles to the home of the 'Gypsies' Bohemian F.C. in Phibsboro 'The Home of Irish Soccer', Dalymount Park, from there it's 3.7 miles on to the newly promoted Sporting Fingal F.C. who play in Morton Stadium, Santry.
With no time to catch our breath, it's mostly down hill 2.6 miles back to our old home of Tolka Park in Drumcondra, where Shelbourne F.C. now play.
